PUDA extends date due to bank strike

CHANDIGARH, Feb 24: The date for submission of application for the allotment of residential plots in Sector 68 has been extended to March 5.

Talking to Newsline, a senior official of Punjab Urban Planning and Development Authority (PUDA) said that the interested persons, who have not applied so far, could apply on the prescribed application forms available from the designated bank on or before March 15.

PUDA had floated the scheme for the allotment of sites measuring six, eight and 10 marlas plot on February 1. The last date of receiving application forms complete in all respects, accompanied by the prescribed earnest money, was slated for February 26.

The official said that date has been extended following a two-day strike call given by All India Bank Association starting tomorrow. The designated banks has already been informed about PUDA's decision of new dates, they added.
