Body of teenager found in west Delhi

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, February 24: The highly decomposed body of a 15-year-old boy was found in a nalla near Nilouti village in the West District today. It has been identified as that of Arvind, a resident of Uttam Nagar. The body has been sent for a post-mortem to determine the nature of injuries, as these will indicate whether he was murdered or committed suicide.

On February 20, Krishan -- a resident of Deep Enclave in Vikas Nagar, informed the police that his son Arvind was missing. Investigations led the police to a nalla near Nilouti village, where they found the boy's cycle and clothes scattered on the bank.

A police official said, ``On first impression it looked like there had been a fight. The boy had probably been beaten and then thrown into the nalla.'' The fire service was called in immediately and divers looked for the body, to no avail. The police registered a case of kidnapping. The body was finally found in the same nalla today.
