Twelve food samples found adulterated

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE  
CHANDIGARH, FEB 25: The 12 samples taken from the premises of Jai Bhagwan of M/S Natayan Dass Suresh Kumar in the Sector 26 Grain Market, during the joint raid of the UT Administration and the police on January 5, have been found to be adulterated and unfit for human consumption.

Samples which were collected were of Taj Brand Mustard oil, Durga double filter mustard oil, Dwarika Pure Ghee, Swami spices and colouring agent, Shiv brand mustard oil, King food salt, Super Shakti Tea, Birla Tea, Black Rose Tea, Kuti Mirch, Badsha brand mustard oil.

According to a press release issued by the Administration, the local health authorities are launching cases under relevant provision of the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act in the court of UT Chief Judicial Magistrate against the erring sellers.
