Central rule may be revoked
After winning the numbers game in the Lok Sabha, the Vajpayee Government is veering around to the idea of revoking President's Rule in Bihar rather than going through the charade of a vote it cannot win in the Rajya Sabha. A pre-budget Cabinet meeting, scheduled tomorrow morning, will take a final view on this. The revocation option is being pushed forcefully by all the BJP's allies except the Samata Party.

LS approves President's rule
The Lok Sabha has approved Presidential proclamation on Bihar.While 279 voted in favour of the resolution, 250 voted against it. The resolution for ratification of President's Rule in Bihar was moved in the Lok Sabha by Home Minister L K Advani yesterday.
