Traffic chaos at festival venue

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHANDIGARH, Feb 26: Motorists were put to a great deal of inconvenience as a number of roads were blocked in and around the venue of the ongoing Festival of Gardens. A large number of policemen were deployed around the venue, who had a tough time diverting traffic to other roads.

The road dividing Sectors 17 and 22 just in front of Sector 17 ISBT and traffic lights near the MC were particularly clogged. It was all the more chaotic between 5 p.m. and 5.30 p.m. when various offices closed and the staff returned home.

A police official said they had made efforts to facilitate the smooth flow of traffic.
