The evening with the Reddys was arranged by the North Zone Cultural Centre and the Chandigarh Lalit Kala Academy in association with the UT Administration. The `tarana' they did had the aficionados yearning for more; based on Pandit Ravi Shankar's composition in Raag Nat Bhairavi and choreographed by Raja, the piece saw the three dancers doing the Pygmalion round. For the sculptures they crafted became alive only to go back into the immortality of it.

Raja is one whose body movements and facial expressions are par excellence and which is the factor behind his extreme popularity and fame. The city audience saw a glimpse of it when he depicted the different movements which at times became just a play of body parts, one that drew images. And when he took out the `navarasas', the viewers just slid through the human psyche. The traditional climax, the `tarangam', unfolded really as waves. And in Raja and Radha's deft footwork, dancing entirely on the `taali', one got the vibrations of two souls. The Reddys' dance had the vocal support by Saibhavani, Annadurai's violin and Bhaskar Rao's `mridangam'.
