It may be recalled the International Cricket Council (ICC) had asked the Sri Lankan Cricket Board not to consider Dharmasena for selection due to the bowler's `suspect action,' after the 1998 Pepsi Cup tournament in Dhaka.

Dharmasena underwent training with leg-spinner DS D'Silva who worked on the off-break bowler's action.

In all probability, Dharmasena would return to the National team for the next month's tri-nation one-day series involving India and Pakistan, in India.

The Sri Lankans would be hoping Dharmasena would not have any problems with his bowling action, especially in the light of the recent controversy involving off-spinner Muttiah Muralitharan.

Meanwhile, the Lanka Board has asked all junior coaches in the country to screen any bowler with suspect action. The National under-15 coach Oshadee Weerasinghe said umpires have been told to report onany bowler with a suspect action.

``We have taken up this issue very seriously. If we rectify the bowler's action at a young age, then he would not have any problem in the future,'' said Weerasinghe.
