EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHANDIGARH, MARCH 1: The Punjab School Education Board and CBSE have made arrangements for Class X and XII final examinations set to begin in the first week of March.

PSEB Controller of Exams Jarnail Singh said, ``in order to curb cheating, we have set five type of question papers. The papers will be distributed to the students randomly.''

As many as 45,667 regular candidates will sit for the Plus Two exam beginning from March 9. For Class X, 3,63,000 students will sit for the exam, of which 82,514 are private candidates. The exam will commence from March 4.

The Board has set up 2,400 examination centres for matric, while for Plus Two, 1,150 centres have been finalised.

Jarnail Singh said `` we have taken care not to exceed 300 students in one centre. A centre in a rural area can have a minimum of 75 students while in the urbans area the minimum limit is 100.''

Each centre will have a centre superintendent and supervisory staff.

Jarnail Singh said, ``ideally, there should be one supervisor for 40 candidates. We have appointed 250 flying squads with three members in each squad. This time, we have distributed centres to squads to avoid overlapping. The District Education Officer, who is the in charge, will give us the feedback,'' he added.

The CBSE Class X and XII exams will commence from March 5 and March 4 respectively. As many as 54,192 students will take up Class X exam, while 37,524 students will appear for the Plus Two exam from this region.
