CHANDIGARH, March 1: City resident Ram Pal Sachdeva, who was earlier sent to a three-day police remand under Sections 406 and 498-A IPC by UT Judicial Magistrate (Ist Class) Vani Gopal Sharma, was today bailed out by the same court.

Ram Pal's father Som Nath Sachdeva, who was sent to judicial remand under the same Sections, was also released on bail today.

Earlier in her complaint, Sapna Rani had stated that on March 7, 1998 she was severely beaten up by her husband and later during the month of April, she was not allowed to contact her relatives.

The complaint mentions that on the morning of May 10, 1998, Sapna was turned out of the house by her in-laws and that she reached her parents' place with great difficulty.

Today, the accused stated that they had returned all dowry articles and nothing remained to be recovered from them.
