CBSE stricturesThe Central Board of Secodary Examinations (CBSE) has banned the use of mobiles and calculators inside examination centres. The CBSE will be providing special badges and identity cards to the staff-on-duty for the proper identification of investigators and Class-IV employees.

Besides this, prohibitory orders around the examination centres have been promulgated by the state police, under which congregation of people, explosives, arms, knives, use of loud-speakers, photocopier machines and other devices have been banned. This year, as many as 4,49,859 candidates will be appearing for class X from 2344 examination centres and 2,63,803 candidates will be appearing from 1958 examination centres for class XII.

Condolence meeting
The officials and staff of the Bangladesh High Commission today condoled the sudden death of Bangladesh foreign secretary Mustafizur Rahman. Bangladesh High Commissioner in India C.M. Shafi Sami presided over the meeting.

Speakers including the High Commissioner recalled the brilliant career of the late Mustafizur Rahman, his contributions in the field of diplomacy and success during his tenure as foreign secretary. He died in a Singapore hospital on Sunday of lung cancer.
