Cabinet defers decision on Bihar
The Union Cabinet on Wednesday deferred a decision on the Bihar issue pending a proposal from the Home Ministry on various options before the government as the Presidential proclamation is unlikely to be ratified in the Rajya Sabha where the BJP-led coalition is in minority.
Clinton begins homework on India
If any more proof was needed that President Bill Clinton is all keyed up and ready to visit India, he offered it in an unexpected manner on Monday while on a holiday at a skiing resort in Utah. Although the White House has not formally rescheduled his trip, officials say the Presidential visit could happen later this year.

The feud within the Akali Dal is fast reaching a head. Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has hinted at the expulsion of Shiromani Gurdwara Parbandhak Committee President Gurcharan Singh Tohra following his Hola Mohalla speech at Anandpur Sahib warning of bloodshed.
