SILIGURI, MAR 3: A sixty-year old man allegedly killed two persons including a woman in a tenancy dispute at South Bagha Jatin colony here, police said on Wednesday.Ratna Das (34) and her brother's friend Subrata Chaterjee (30) was found lying dead in a pool of blood with sharp cuts on their throats and wrists last night, Additional Superintendent of Police, Ajoy Kumar said.
Ratna, along with her two sisters and elder brother Shankar, was living in the rented flat and had a long tenancy dispute with its owner, Gopinath Karmakar.
Kumar said, 60-year-old Karmakar and his son attacked Ratna and Subrata while two other sisters went to watch television at a neighbour's house and Shankar was busy outside with his business.
Karmakar's grandson identified him (Karmakar) to be the killer. A blood-stained khukri was also recovered from the his house. Karmakar was arrested while his son was absconding, police said.
