YCC cagers dominated the contest and were up by 10-4 in the opening five minutes of the match. The eventual winners were leading 28-16 at the break.

Harjot led the YCC attack with 27 points. He was supported by Amrish and Vikramjit, who sunk 17 and 6 points respectively.

However, in the second session, PU Campus got their act together and narrowed the margin but the initial lead proved to be decisive.

Virender shot 18 while seasoned Mahesh Behl scored 10 points for PU Campus.

The other match between defending champion 12 Wing Air Force and 107 Engineering Regiment, was abandoned due to inclement weather condition.

It was a close contest and 12 Wing (AF) were three points up, when the match was 11 minutes old in the second session. However, due to unprecedented rain the match was stopped. The match will be held tomorrow. Earlier, the meet was inaugurated by Col Judge (retd), president, Chandigarh Basketball Association.
