ADA performing well in Jammu & Kashmir

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, MARCH 7: Director General and senior Colonel Commandant of Air Defence Artillery Lt. Gen. A. Mukherjee said here on Saturday that air defence artillery was doing excellently in active operations in Jammu and Kashmir. He made these comments while addressing the local Air Defence Brigade at a Sainik Sammelan.

Giving details about modernisation plans for Air Defence Artillery, he said that ADA was a highly equipment intensive arm demanding a high degree of technical proficiency. All ranks must train themselves thoroughly so as to meet the challenges facing it in the future, he stated. Gen. Mukherjee said that the year 1999 had been declared as the Year of the Jawan in the Army and a study was under way in the ADA directorate to review the promotion and career prospects of jawans.

In the end, all ranks informally interacted with Gen. Mukherjee.
