Indian lads post another victory

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
GWALIOR, MARCH 7: Indian Colts went 2-0 up in the four-match one-day series against their Sri Lankan counterparts, beating the Islanders by five wickets in the second match here today.

Put into bat, the Lankan lads were in deep trouble at five for 20. Amit Suman and captain Reetinder Sodhi bowled extremely well to restrict Sri Lanka to 162 for nine in 50 overs.

Promising Uttar Pradesh batsman Mohd Kaif led India's surge to victory. Kaif initially built the innings with Sodhi and on his skipper's departure, came together with Venugopal to guide India to victory at 166 for five in 39.3 overs. Kaif made an unbeaten 72 (8x4).

Man-of-the-match Amit Suman claimed three Sri Lankan wickets for 14 runs.
