VADODARA, MARCH 9: Call it human error or machine failure but the fate of three-odd students of the M S University depends on a few people of the examination section. Those these students had answered their examinations and even cleared it but the final marksheet of the students declared that the students had failed. They are from the first and second years of the Faculty of Science.
Sources in the university say that such errors in the marksheets have occurred for the first time. ``The cases of these three students who belong to the faculty of Science have secured marks and permitted to be on ATKT, but the students have been marked failed,'' he added.
Sources also added that the problem this time was primarily due to the tabulators though the computers had shown the right marks. ``The marks after printed in the computers should be checked by the tabulator for the final outcome,'' he added.
Deputy Registrar (examinations) C D Gandhi, however, added that the problem had been identified and since the tabulators were new hence the problem had occurred. He also added that the programming of the computer also had to be changed.
Vice-Chancellor of M S University Anil Kane, however said, ``We know the problem that the students are facing due to the marksheet, and action for the same would be taken for those found at fault.''
He added that the final results of these students would also be declared as early as possible.
