London, March 10: All 14 members of Derbyshire's committee resigned today after a vote of no confidence by the English county's members.``The whole committee have agreed to resign en bloc,'' Derbyshire said in a statement, adding the committee would act as caretakers until a new one was formed before the summer.
The resignations were prompted by a vote of no confidence passed by Derbyshire's members last night and came after six months of division and dispute in the northern English club dubbed ``cricket's Serbia'' by The Guardian newspaper.
England paceman Dominic Cork threatened to quit as captain in October, saying his authority had been undermined by a committee who refused to make cuts in the playing staff in order to free up cash to buy experienced players.
But in a move which had been expected to end the matter, Cork signed a new four-year contract on March 1 and said he felt the difficulties had been resolved.
Derbyshire last summer moved up six places in the championship table to10th under Cork's captaincy and reached the final of the One-day Natwest Trophy.
