IMG now rope in Kanitkar

International Management Group (IMG) the global sports management company, will represent Maharashtra all-rounder Hrishikesh Kanitkar, the player who smashed a boundary off the penultimate ball of the match to give India a sensational victory over Pakistan at Dhaka last year.

IMG India will represent all of Hrishikesh's commercial rights including celebrity/brand endorsements. IMG already represents Anil Kumble and Ajay Jadeja.

Inter-Office, Inter-Club TT

The Mumbai Suburban District Table Tennis Association will be holding their annual Inter-Office, Inter-Club TT League from April 1 onwards.All offices of Greater Mumbai are eligible to take part. All clubs in the jurisdiction of Mumbai Suburban District only can participate. Entries close on March 20. Swimming, fitness courses

South Asia's first Institute ofAdvanced Aquatic Training, run by the Bombay YMCA at CBD Belapur, Navi Mumbai, will be conducting courses for swim and fitness instructors this month. More details can be availed by contacting YMCA on 757 2241 or 757 2930.

Veterans football tourney

The Karnatak Football Tournament Committee will conduct their first Veterans tournament at the Karnatak SA ground, Cross maidan, from the third week of March.

The tournament will be held on a league basis with attractive cash prizes and individual award. The teams confirmed are Air-India, Mahindras, Tatas, Goan SA, Central Railway, Century, Mumbai Customs, BPT, RCF, Reserve Bank and Karnatak SA.
