CBSE constitute Sports Committee

CHANDIGARH, MARCH 10: Central Board of Secondary Education has reconstituted the Special Sports Committee for the next year. The first meeting of the newly constituted panel will meet on April 6 at 11 a.m. at CBSE Headquarters, Delhi.

Principal Ravinder Talwar, DAV Senior Secondary School, Chandigarh and Himachal Pradesh's C L Negi, president of the School Games Federation of India, are among those who have been nominated on the Special Sports Committee.

The agenda of the committee will be finalised soon, according to GP Gautam, Officer on Special Duty, Sports, CBSE.

Prof B P Khandelwal (chairman CBSE), H R Gupta (CE (P & P) CBSE), Jhaman Lal Sharma (Lucknow), Ajmer Singh (Gwalior), Sanjeev Dubey (New Delhi), Major O P Bhatia (Executive Director SAI), Puran Chand (New Delhi), SS Gauri (New Delhi), Mrs GD Bakshi (Jaipur), N S Tolia (New Delhi), M J Vari (New Delhi), Mrs Mamta Bhatnagar (New Delhi), Mrs Meenu Goswami (New Delhi), V Venkatachalam (Chennai), E M Verghese (Cochin), Punnaia Chaudhary (AP), Mrs Manju Gupta (UP), PS Chandersekhar (Orissa), Mrs Hemlata Biswas (Bokaro), Mrs A Shastri (Nagpur), Ashok Kumar (Jaipur), Lt Col AP Mukhopadhaya (Maharashtra), Rajinder Singh (Faridabad), C Anita Reddy (Hyderabad), Hardeep Malhotra (Dehradun), Sunil Kumar Sharma (Jaipur), Mrs Meera Balachandran (New Delhi), V Bhaweja (New Delhi), DR Saini (New Delhi), Lalit Kishore (Sharanpur), AK Sikand (Jalandhar), Suraj Prakash and G P Gautam (OSD Sports, CBSE) are the other members of the committee.
