Showcasing the bus for BJP coalition fete

UNITED NEWS OF INDIA
New Delhi, march 12: The Sada-e-Sarhad bus, in which prime minister Atal Behari Vajpayee travelled to Lahore through Wagah border, last month will be kept for public display as part of the first anniversary celebrations of the BJP alliance Government at the centre. The alliance government assumed office on March 19 last year. Delhi transport minister Parvez Hashmi said that a request in this regard was received from the Prime Minister's Office (PMO) to spare the bronze coloured DTC bus (DL I PA 3710) for display during the anniversary celebrations.

Hashmi was not sure whether the costly bus, one of the two brought by the DTC to ply on Delhi-Lahore-Delhi route, would be ever returned to Delhi transport corporation. He was also not certain whether the bus would be kept for public display at prime minister's official residence.
