Docs keep close watch on fasting employee

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
CHANDIGARH, MARCH 12: The condition of A.K. Malhotra, the PGI employee who has been on a hunger strike for the past one week, is not very good. With the PGI Employees' Union still planning to proceed on a mass casual week on March 16, the authorities are watching the situation silently.

A.K. Malhotra, who has already lost more than 5 kgs ever since he went on the strike, is being closely watched by doctors. According to the union president Ashwani Munjal: "The union will go on a strike if the authorities did not take prompt action and initiate talks with the elected representatives."
