The CEO was reacting to the allegations of the removal of an unauthorised stall at Kumbhar Bawadi that the board officials had not only abused the persons working there but had also taken away some cash from the stall. The stall-owner belongs to a political party and is also involved with certain organisations in the city.

Referring to the unauthorised stall, Sharma mentioned that the court, in a regular civil suit, had dismissed the interim injunction application and there was no stay presently operating against the removal of this stall. The court case was fought in the name of Baba Darvesh Fast Food Caterers at the time. The court also held that the stall owner had not been granted a trade licence and to allow to sell eatables from this unauthorised stall would prejudice administrative inconvenience and also lead to health and traffic problems.

The CEO stated that the board had decided against issuing licences to many hotels on various grounds.

While taking such decisions, the elected members have kept the rules and regulations in mind and therefore allegations about their targetting a particular political party was totally baseless. He also urged people to avoid buying food from such stalls.
