UP CM to visit city in April
Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Kalyan Singh and BJP member of Parliament Rajinder Singh would be visiting the City in April. Disclosing this here today, BJP local unit president Dharam Paul Gupta thanked party workers for according a warm welcome to BJP general secretary Venakiah Naidu, during his recent visit to the City.Continue boycott of exams: AIFUTA
The All India Federation of University Teachers' Association has condemned the denial of revised grades to teachers of private colleges in Punjab. It has urged teachers to continue the boycott of examinations and sought a judicial probe into the lathi-charge on teachers on March 12, an AIFUTA press release said.

INTUC chief coming
The president of Indian National Trade Union Congress G. Sanjeeva Reddy, would be in the City on March 19, to address INTUC workers. The local unit of INTUC, at a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of Ram Pal Sharma, appealed to the workers to welcome Reddy.

Military officers meet Governor
A 15-member group of senior military officers led by Rear Admiral Nirmal Verma SDS (Navy), faculty member, National Defence College, New Delhi, paid a courtesy call on Haryana Governor Mahabir Prasad. The Governor briefed the visiting group about Haryana.

Eye camp on March 20
Lions Club Chandigarh Central is organising its 25th eye operation camp at Satsang Bhavan, Sector 26, on March 20. The camp will be inaugurated by Haryana Lok Pal Justice I. P. Vashisht (retd). Patients will be operated upon by a team of eye-specialists led by Dr R. K. Kapahtia and Dr Rakesh Kumar.

250 donate blood
As many as 250 students donated blood at Punjab Engineering College here today. The camp was jointly organised by SBI and the NSS unit of the PEC.

Appointed
Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal has appointed Amarjeet Singh Chandok as president of the Maharashtra unit of the Shiromani Akali Dal.
