Baby crushed under Maruti
A one-year-old boy was crushed to death under a speeding Maruti at 5 p.m. on Sunday in Old Seemapuri, north east Delhi. The vehicle has been impounded and the driver arrested. The incident took place when Amir was crossing the road with his father Babu Khan.

Man stabbed to death
A resident of Seemapuri was reportedly stabbed to death by a relative on Sunday night. Twenty-five-year-old Raju was apparently stabbed by Ashok after the two got into a fight over the partition of their jhuggi. A case of murder has been registered against Ashok.

Woman dies in road mishap
A woman was killed when a speeding truck turned turtle and fell on the Maruti she was travelling in at Africa Avenue chowk on Tuesday night. The woman has been identified as Seema. She was sitting next to the driver. The other two women in the car escaped unhurt. The three women were coming from Anand Niketan. The accident occurred at around 11.15 p.m. when the car stopped at a traffic light. The truck, carrying onions, was speeding and was trying to overtake. In the process, it turned upside down and fell on the car. The police are now looking for the truck driver who fled the spot.

3 arrested
With the arrest of three youths -- Rishi Kumar alias Sonu (18), Pradeep alias Deepak (19) and Tilak Raj alias Tilaka (18) -- the police claim to have solved a Mayur Vihar robbery in two hours.

At around 10 p.m. on Tuesday, Gore Lal (28) -- an employee at Tripal Manufacturing Unit in Azad Market -- was returning to his Noida residence. The three youth allegedly threatened him with a knife and robbed him of his wallet containing Rs 250. The police managed to arrest them from Block no: 32 in Trilokpuri.

Officials caught
The Anti-Corruption Branch on Monday arrested a MCD junior engineer and a beldar for allegedly demanding and receiving a bribe of Rs 2,000. Rajender Kumar said that his friend's son was constructing a house in Paharganj. He complained that JE Sudhir Kumar demanded a bribe of Rs 50,000.
