Out of the sanctioned amount, Rs 57 lakh has been allotted so far. The society held its first meeting, under the chairmanship of District Development Officer B N Joshi, which decided to celebrate March 24 as Tuberculosis Day on district and taluka levels to create an awareness among the public about the the disease and ensure their participation.
