GURGAON, March 21: Rebel Haryana Vikas Party (HVP) Legislator Dharamvir Yadav is in the news again, but this time not for his outburst against Chief Minister Bansi Lal.A criminal case has been registered against former public works minister Dharamvir for allegedly manhandling, slapping and threatening his former political secretary, Rajender Yadav and his wife, Saraswati. Incidentally, Rajender happens to be a close relative of the rebel HVP MLA.
The incident took place at around 1 pm on Friday when Rajender, Saraswati with their one-and-a-half-year old kid were driving down to Sector-31.
According to Saraswati, ``Dharamvir along with his driver came in a car and pulled it right in front of our Zen as we stepped out of the car. Dharamvir slapped and pushed me. Since I had the child in my arms I could no do much but managed to grab his shirt and in the process landed nail scratches on his chest. Meanwhile, my husband intervened. Dharamvir landed two blows on my husband's face who too retaliated inself-defence. He hurled abuses at us and threatened to kill my husband and children.''
Rajender told The Indian Express, ``Dharamvir has been harbouring enmity against me ever since I parted ways with him. I was his political secretary for 11 months. But we fell apart after I refused to become a party to his corrupt practices. During his tenure as a PWD minister, he tried to frame me in false cases by using his political clout.''
Following Friday's incident, Rajender filed a complaint against the former minister and submitted it to the DIG, Gurgaon Range, P K Mehta who in turn discussed the matter with Bansi Lal who gave a go-ahead paving way for registration of a criminal case against the former minister. The rebel MLA could not be reached for his comment.
