The Goans showed that they were in mood to relax as they struck once in each session to complete their engagements on a winning note in a fast-paced match.

The hard-working Shabbir Ali Mondal put Salgaocar in the lead in the 37th minute of the contest while striker Bruno Coutinho pumped in the second goal in the 80th minute capitalising on a defensive lapse.

Eager to finish off the league with their heads high, Salgaocar launched into the offensive from the word go but had to wait till the 37th minute to open their account.

The first goal was the result of a fast counter attack which saw Shabbir Ali tap the ball in from close to the goalmouth following a measured centre from striker Bruno Coutinho who again took a lot of load for his team.

Leading by asolitary goal at the interval, the Goans attacked with renewed vigour and managed to increase their lead ten minutes before the long whistle with Coutinho finding the target following a cross from Jules Alberto from the left flank.
