EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, March 21: A fine spell of 5 for 14 by off-spinner Mahesh Sood helped Dena Bank beat State Bank of Patiala by eight wickets and enter the final of the Inter-Bank cricket tournament.

Dena Bank will take on Central Bank of India in the final on Tuesday, after a day of rest tomorrow. SBP, batting first failed to capitalise on a reasonably good start, and wilted under the guiles of Sood as they were shot out for 166 in 35.4 overs with Rakesh Rehat (48), Pankaj Dharmani (31) being the main contributors. Besides Sood, Raj Kumar Sharma also captured two wickets for 23 runs. Dena Bank began their reply well and reached 167 for 2 in just 26 overs with Manu Nayyar (58) and Sonu Vaid making 62.
