Performing Arts students asked to show cause

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, March 24: Two students of the Faculty of Performing Arts, M S University were issued show-cause notice by the officiating dean of the faculty, D K Bhonsle on Monday for allegedly misbehaving with senior teacher H Natarajan of the department of dance.

The two allegedly walked into Natarajan's room and abused and pushed him after he reportedly did not give them a satisfactory reply about the three-day annual programme of the faculty which began on Monday. Interestingly, a section of students of the dance department have demanded action against the two students and also a woman teacher who they allege had instigated students to misbehave with Natarajan.

Dance department students, meanwhile, stayed away from classes and threatened to boycott classes until action is taken against the teacher. The students have also alleged that the teacher had threatened to fail them in practical examinations, as some of them had participated in an agitation against her.
