VADODARA, March 24: The J.P. Road police on Tuesday night arrested five more accused in the alleged kidnapping of businessman S. Chandrashekhar last month and getting his rented premises vacated from him forcibly. With this the number of arrests in this case has increased to eight. Seven others are at large.

Deputy Commissioner of Police (South) Mohan Jha said the police had petitioned for remand of the three accused, two of whom were picked up from Ahmedabad, but the court rejected the remand plea. The police expected to track them down soon, Jha said.
