Asian Power lifting from April 1

NEW DELHI, Mar 24: Indian Powerlifting Federation will be hosting the Asian Junior and Senior Powerlifting Championship at Shah Auditorium, Raj Niwas Marg, from April 1-5. About 200 participants from Asian countries are expected to take part in the event. Teams from Japan, Chinese Taipei, Phillipines, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Pakistan and Sri Lanka have already confirmed their participation.

ATP tickets
As the official card of the Gold Flake Open, Visa International today announced that Visa card holders will be entitled to exclusive privileges at India's only ATP Tour world series. Visa card holders can book season tickets through a special teleticketing (phone-in) facility or via the internet for the forthcoming Gold Flake Open in Chennai from April 5-11. The Gold Flake Open this year will play host to three of the World's top 20 stars which include Carlos Moya, Karol Kucera and Thomas Johanson, as well as Indian favourites, Leander Paes and Mahesh Bhuphati.

Hemant, Harsh excel
Hemant Duggal (Hqrs) and Harsh Chopra (North sone) won the men's badminton and table tennis championship of the FCI inter-zonal tournament at IG stadium.

Results: Badminton: Hemant Duggal (Hqrs) beat Davinder Dhillion (Hqrs) 15-4, 15-10, 15-12 in the men's singles while in doubles, Hemant Duggal/Davinder Dhillion (Hqrs) thrashed John of Mehta/P Suresh (south) 17-16, 15-1). Table Tennis: Harsh Chopra (North) beat Pankaj P Chutia (North) 21-12, 21-14, 21-16.

Day-night cricket
The third Lala Hari Ram Aggarwal memorial day-night cricket tournament will beheld at MCD Ground from April 1. Entries close with organising secretary. Draw will be released by Vijay Kumar, member RajyaSabha, on Sunday.
