Succumbs to injuries
S.A.S. Nagar resident Kamaljit Singh, who was admitted to the hospital yesterday after he was injured in an accident, today succumbed to his injuries. His scooter was reportedly hit by a truck near the roundabout of sectors 20, 21, 33 and 34. The truck driver had fled after leaving the truck on the spot.

Woman caught while stealing
The city police has arrested a woman, Kamla, while she was trying to steal clothes from a house in Sector 29. Police sources said that she broke into the house and was about to decamp with the clothes and other items when the police reached the spot and caught the woman.

Pedestrian hurt in mishap
A pedestrian Radha, a sector 38 resident, was reportedly hit by a scooter in sector 40. The injured has been admitted to the hospital. The police have registered a case.

Resident alleges vandalism
Sector 33 resident Renuka Nair reported to the police that some unknown persons broke the glasses of her house annexe. The police have registered a case.

Cylinders stolen from houses
Sector 55 residents Dhoom Singh and Sardha Nand have alleged that a gas cylinder each has been lifted away from their respective houses.

Panchkula Police seize liquor
The Panchkula Police have recovered five bottles and 10 pouches of liquor from Om Chand, a resident of Chota, Tirlokpur Police Station in Raipur Rani. The accused has been arrested. The police have registered a case under the Excise Act and investigations are on.
