One killed, 2 hurt in separate mishaps

PANCHKULA, March 26: One person was killed and two were injured in three separate road accidents in the past 48 hours.

A cyclist Pramod Kumar was reportedly hit by a speeding truck and he later succumbed to his injuries at the PGI where he was admitted. The complaint was registered with the police by Krishanlal, a resident of Badona Khurd in Raipur Rani. The police have registered a case under Sections 279, 304-A IPC and investigations are on. In another incident, a scooterist Jagdish Lal of Sector 8 was hit by a Maruti car driven by Kamal Sharma of the same sector. The scooterist was injured in the accident which took place near the Sector 8 market. The police have registered a case under Sections 279, 337, 427 and the probe is on.

In yet another mishap yesterday, Vishvanath, a resident of Ardiya district of Bihar, who was riding a scooter, was hit by a Haryana Roadways bus near Tangri bridge. The scooterist was injured in the accident. The police have registered a case under Sections 279, 337, 338 IPC.
