Weekend retreat/Pooja Bedi-Ebrahim

When home is where the heart is, who needs to get away for the weekend? Or even an odd weekday, for that matter? Pooja Bedi-Ebrahim feels no need to get away from the madding crowd. Her home, she says, is where she wants to be most when Friday comes. ``There's a jaccuzzi on the terrace, where we lounge around. My daughter Alia loves it. She has this little boat, which has to get into the jaccuzzi, and she gets in after that. Soon enough there's no place for anybody else,'' she laughs. The view is spectacular from the top floor of Beach Classic in Versova, where she lives. There's no-one watching from anywhere close, and the sea supplies fresh breeze. Even during times when going up isn't such a good idea, there's her spacious home, done up like a dream - ``by me and my husband'' - where you could spend time doing nothing much. ``Actually,'' drawls Pooja, ``I've done the whole routine of going here and there, pubbing and stuff, all my life. So much so, I like calling a few friends over and having good dinnersover weekends. Anything else is just not for me,'' she says.
