Two suicides One Bhanuben Ramesh Jogani, a 30-year-old housewife residing at Ghanshyamnagar area of Varachha committed suicide by consuming poison on Tuesday morning, the Varachha police said. She was declared dead on admission to the Sudip hospital, the police added. The reason behind the extreme step is being investigated and a case under CrPC 174 has been registered, the police said. In another case registered in the same police station, Kanchanben Babubhai Ravji (20) committed suicide by burning herself on Monday evening in her house at Bharatnagar. She died in the Maskati hospital on Tuesday morning while being treated for severe burns. According to a complaint, the deceased doused herself with kerosene before setting herself on fire.Missing Three-year-old Laxmi Anil Mishra, residing at Ambedkar Nagar area of Limbayat has been reported missing since Tuesday morning. A case registered in the police station on Tuesday evening said that Laxmi was last seen playing outside her house on Tuesday morning. The police said that Ramchandra Mishra, lodged a complaint, stating that the girl was wearing a brown frock and was both dumb and deaf. A search has been launched for the girl. Arrested The city police on Tuesday arrested four people who were wanted in separate crimes committed in the past few months, the control room said. Rakesh alias Ravi Pavan Pradhan (29), a resident of Bhatena slum, was arrested by the Umra police. He was wanted in the murder of one Ashok Maliya, whom he had stabbed to death after a brawl over a cricket match in November last year. The Katargam police on Tuesday arrested Vijay Velji Parmar alias Veju from Matawadi, Varachha for his involvement in at least three cases of armed loots and thefts. The 14-year-old had confessed his crimes, the police added. While the Mahidharpura police arrested Chirag Brahmbhatt, involved in a case of rioting and threatening to kill, the Varachha police arrested Kishore Gajera, a resident of Ghanshyamnagar, Varachha on charges of theft.
