MSU students'fate in balance

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
VADODARA, April 1: The fate of the 22 students of the Faculty of Commerce, M S University still hangs in balance with the matter scheduled to be taken up in the Syndicate meeting to be held in one-two days. This was decided by Vice-Chancellor Anil Kane and Senate members in the Senate meeting held on Wednesday.

Former university general secretary Prakash Verma had raised the need to end the imbroglio, saying students should not be affected because of the fault of one student leader.

However, Senate members are for action against the leader as well as the students. While members said action should be taken against the leader as well as the students because they depended on the union leader instead of doing the work themselves, even Kane felt the same. Verma, too, said an FIR may be filed against union leader Jigar Inamdar for not acting responsibly.

Inamdar, however, claimed that he had taken the fee amount from only six students and was ready to face action if the students' admissions were considered.
