Audio cassette of Khalsa
On the occasion of the tercentenary celebrations of the birth of Khalsa, the Gramophone Company of India and Mangal Dhillon and Company are presenting an audio cassette of the movie, ``Khalsa'', based on Sikh history. The cassette would be formally released by Punjab Chief Minister Parkash Singh Badal on April 3.

PGI staff threaten indefinite stir
Members of the PGI Employees' Union, in a general body meeting, have threatened to go on an indefinite strike from April 7 in view of the failure of the authorities to implement their assurances. Meanwhile, the hunger strike by Rameshwar Sharma entered its fifth day on Thursday.

Talk on role of public sector
The role of public sector in building infrastructure for growth of industry was emphasised by S. A. Rahman, Banking Ombudsman, UT, Punjab and HP, in an Industry-Faculty interface organised by University Business School, PU. Those who spoke on the occasion included B. B. Tandon, Keshav Sachdeva and P. K. Verma.

Gulati bereaved
K S Gulati (82), father of A. S. Gulati, XEN, UT Administration, died here on Thursday after a brief illness. A retired under-secretary of Punjab government, he leaves behind his wife and two sons. The funeral procession will start from House No. 1202, Sector 28-B, at 1 p. m. tomorrow, for Sector 25 cremation grounds.

Orissa Day celebrated
Orissa Day was celebrated in the city on Thursday under the aegis of ``Utkal Sanskrutik Sangh'' at Lord Jagannath Temple, Sector 31. A cultural programme was also organised on the occasion. According to sangh secretary D N Behera, the sangh represents 20,000 Oriyans living in and around the city.
