Rajni's 79 goes in vain
Despite an unbeaten 79 by Rajni Venugopal, South Central Railway lost to Eastern Railway by eight wickets in the All India Railway Women's Cricket Championship at Karnail Singh Stadium. Mamta Sinha and Shyama Shah scored half centuries for the winners.

Brief scores: South Central Railway: 161 for 7 (Rajni Venugopal 79 not out, Babusha 2 for 17, Gargi Dey 2 for 34) lost to Eastern Railway: 164 for 2 (Mamta Sinha 56, Shyama Shah 50 not out).

Neeraj Chawla sparkles
All-round performance by Neeraj Chawla (40 and 3 for 19) helped Rohtak Road Gymkhana prevail over South West Police by 72 runs to enter the super league of the second Hari Singh Tyagi TYCA league match at Mohan Meakin ground. Neeraj Chawla, Gagan Malik and Chetan Sharma were the batting heroes for the winners while Pankaj Sharma (38) and Rakesh Kumar (24) were the main scorers for the losers.

Dhoopar stars for KN Colts
Fine knocks by Bhupinder Dhoopar (82) and Amit Mishra (69) enabled Kailash Nagar Colts triumph over Crifit Academy by 19 runs in the first East Delhi (under-19) tournament at Yamuna Sports Complex. Bhupinder Dhoopar was adjudged man of the match.

Safdar, Pradeep impressive
Powered by Safdar Qaiyum's 62 and Pradeep Shastri's fine spell (4 for 19) Rex Remedies beat Talent Maker by 73 runs to enter the semi-final of the ninth Nawab Rex Remedies Cup at Telephone Exchange ground (Yamuna Vihar).

Mumbai-Pune cycle race
The 20th Promise Mumbai-Pune cycle race will be organised on April 4. This road race will cover 160 kms distance. Top Indian road riders of national and international level from affiliated units/boards are expected to participate.
