The almanac, which came in the market on Thursday, has also warned Prime Minister Atal Behari Vajpayee of deterioration in his health, apart from forecasting that several allies of the Bharatiya Janata Party will ditch it.

"Though budh is the king for the new year, it is shani which will assume office of the minister, thus becoming the root cause of many a disasters including earthquake, railway and air mishaps, leading to a large number of deaths," the Kalpurush Panjika has said.

The Kalpurush Panjika is considered to be one of the few very effective almanacs of the country, and it was this almanac, which had accurately forecast the assassination of former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, as well as the Laturearthquake apart from several other major incidents in the recent few years.

"The Vajpayee Government will find it extremely difficult to run the country, with problems coming not just from the Opposition parties, but from within the ruling alliance, and there is a strong possibility of the government getting dislodged in the month of vaishakh (April-May)," the almanac has said.

There is also a possibility of change of guards at the Centre in August-September if the government can tide over the April-May storm, it has added.

The almanac has attributed the uncertainty likely to be faced by the BJP-led alliance to the total solar eclipse slated for August 11, saying that the eclipse might have its adverse effect not only on the BJP-led regime, but also on the parties holding power in Gujarat, Maharashtra, Andhra Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh and Orissa, apart from Assam.

Delhi on the other hand is likely to witness a series of law and order problems, including several major blasts which will take aheavy toll, the Kalpurush Panjika has said.
