Hyderabad, April 2: Former champions Hyderabad were well-placed for a semi-final berth as Delhi were 122 for three on the penultimate day of the quarter-final Ranji Trophy cricket match, way behind the target of 684 set by the home team here today.Resuming at 67 overnight, Laxman made mincemeat of Delhi bowlers, scoring 193 (339m, 243b, 22x4). Laxman, who scored 219 against Baroda in the previous encounter, has 530 runs from three consecutive innings. He became the third Hyderabad batsman, after M Azharuddin and MV Sridhar, to score a century in both innings of a match. Today's century was Laxman's tenth in Ranji Trophy, following his110 in the first innings.

AMRITSAR: Left-hander Dinesh Mongia's impressive unbeaten knock of 160 further strengthened Punjab's position on the penultimate day of the Ranji quarter-final match againstTamil Nadu here today.
Resuming at 109 fortwo, the hosts, with a vital 83 runs first innings lead behind them, ended the day at 411 for the loss of seven wickets. Mongia batted through out the day (423m, 2x6, 14x4).
