Twenty saplings planted to mark Easter

CHANDIGARH, April 4: Easter, the day associated with the resurrection of Jesus Christ, was celebrated in the city today. The celebrations were conducted by the Christian community all over the city. The Anglican Church Welfare Society celebrated the Easter at the Indira Holiday Home. The Easter mass was led by Anglican Bishop (Elect) of Chandigarh.

Children's Alliance for Protection of the Environment (CAPE) today organised Easter function at YMCA, Sector 10, in association with Global Kids Club. Children planted over 20 saplings on the occasion.

Panchkula: The Christian community today attended the Easter service held in Sector 15, Panchkula. The service was held at the Holy Faith Church, Sector 15, in the absence of a church building.
