CAT issues notices to HRD ministry, ASI

EXPRESS NEWS SERVICE
NEW DELHI, April 4: The Central Administrative Tribunal (CAT) has issued notices to the Union Ministry of Human Resource Development and the top brass of the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) asking them why the services of 202 ASI employees working on a casual basis for over a decade had not been regularised.

The employees had approached the tribunal saying that while their services had not been regularised, the ASI had also not bothered to pay them the arrears of enhanced pay as recommended by the Fifth Pay Commission. The case has been listed for further hearing on April 26.
