Bangalore auto drivers threaten stir

BANGALORE, April 4: Autorickshaw drivers in Bangalore have threatened to go on a one-day strike on April 20 if the Government does not withdraw its decision regarding grant of 20,000 new autorickshaw permits. Acording to their Union Vice President, E T Mahadev, the Government's decision to provide permits to 20,000 new autos would seriously affect the business of more than 50,000 autorickshaw drivers in the City.
