TRIPRAYAR (KERALA), APRIL 4: Defending champions Indian Railways began their march for a hat-trick with a comfortable 25-12, 25-9, 25-15 win over West Bengal in the inaugural match of the 3rd National Volleyball Super League (women) played here tonight.Indian Railways who entered the fray with five international players in their squad were too good for Bengal.
Railway women who qualified for the Super League from Mandya with a clean slate winning all their league engagements, did not take the match seriously and faced their rivals without resorting to their lethal smashes.
Railway spikers veteran Salomi Ramu, Samgeetha and Hemalatha were more concentrated on placements.
With this, Railways women collected two points from the four-team round robin league match.
