Naresh stars for KB Blues
Fine all-round performance by Naresh Singh (110 not out and 3 for 38) and useful contributions by Kunwar Mahender (68) and Suresh Dixit (51 not out) enabled KB Blues prevail over Citizen XI (Mumbai) by 167 runs in the ninth All India Om Nath Sood memorial tournament at Hindu College.

Amit Verma and Sanjiv claimed two wickets each giving 59 and 74 runs, respectively, for the losers while Ved Prakash, Naresh Singh, Kunwar Mahender and Bobby Dev were the wicket-takers for the winners.

Rex-Remedies won the ninth Nawab Cup beating Sharda Club by three runs in an exciting final at Telephone Exchange ground (Yamuna Vihar).

Rohit Sharma claimed four wickets for 38 for the winners while Jasvir and Vijay took two wickets each for the losers. The winners received Rs 11,000 while the runners-up got Rs 5,100.

Shyama excels
Shyama Shah (41 not out and 2 for 11) guided Eastern Railway to score a seven-wicket win over Western Railway in the All India Railway women's championship at Karnail Singh Stadium.

Seema Singh (3 for 8) and Shyama Shah (2 for 11) were the successful bowlers for the winners. Shyama Shah was adjudged the woman of the match.

Amity bridge
Formidables surpassed Gujral in various techniques available in card play to win the team of four duplicate championship in the Rs one lakh prize money Amity bridge tournament at Golf Club (Noida).

Besides Kiran Nadar, Formidables comprised Alok Sinha, NK Gupta, R Tewari and B Satynarayan -- all former IIT Delhi students. Ravi Gujral, MM Chopra, RS Jasuja, PC Gupta and DK Tewari were the runners-up.

Kamal shines
Powered by Kamal Kishore's 60 and Dahiya Mukesh's 50, Vijay Mehra Academy beat Siemens Club by seven wickets at LPS ground.

The 27th Chandravati Bhatnagar memorial Manav Sthali Open Table Tennis Tournament for juniors and seniors will be conducted at Talkatora Indoor Stadium from April 26 to 29. DS Group win

Tony, Tara shine
Tony Singh's fine spell of 4 for 28 and Tara Chand's unbeaten 40 helped Chand Khanna beat Inborn by five wickets to enter the second round of the first Poolworld East Delhi (under-19) tournament at Mohan Meakin ground.
