Condolence meeting
A condolence meeting in memory of late philanthropist and social activist Nanubhai Amin has been organised by the Navchetana Abhiyan on Thursday at Vanijya Bhavan, Race Course Circle at 6 pm.

Office-bearers
Amit Goradia will be installed president and Shivinder Singh Chawla senior vice-president of the Federation of Gujarat Industries (FGI) for 1999-2000 at an installation ceremony on Thursday. Ram Devidayal will be appointed vice-president and Jal Patel honorary treasurer.

Admission fees
The admission fees of the the 22 Commerce students will be accepted in the Faculty main building office between noon and 2 pm on Friday. According to Dean J K Syan, the students will have to take fee receipts from the respective units, where they have been admitted. Padra College students will have to pay the fees at the Padra College itself. All students will, however, have to pay a fine as decided by the Syndicate earlier. Syan said examination forms will also be issued from Friday.

Traffic drive
The traffic police, during a drive on Tuesday, replaced fancy number plates of as many as 30 scooters, eight motorcycles, three cars and eight other vehicles and realised a sum of Rs 2,235 as penalty.

BJP rally
More than 7,000 BJP supporters from Vadodara are expected to take part in the Party's Parivartan Rally in Ahmedabad on Friday, according to city unit conveners Ghanshyam Dalal and Nilam Kodnani. They would go in about 90 luxury buses and a large number of private vehicles, Dalal said. Meanwhile, city unit chief Bhupendra Lakhawala flagged off kumbh yatras from Mandvi on Wednesday.
