AMBALA, April 7: Lions Club beat Arjuna Club 5-4 (in sudden-death) in the final to win the the first Ambala District Club League football tournament here at the War Heroes Stadium today.
After a goalless normal time, followed by a score of 4-4 in tie breaker, Sonu's futile attempt for Arjuna Club in sudden death paved the way for Lions Club's win. Earlier in the semifinals, Arjuna Club had beaten Netaji Club 3-1 while Lions Club had defeated Hero Club 1-0.
