Sandeep stars for Chand Khanna

NEW DELHI, April 7: Fine leg-spin bowling by Sandeep Koachar (5 for 24) and unbeaten knocks by Pankaj Joshi and Bhupinder Singh enabled Chand Khanna crush Delhi Telecom by nine wickets in a B division match of DDCA league at Palam-II.

Other winners in the league include Malviya Club, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, Kranti Star and Canara Bank.

Brief scores: Chand Khanna: 181 for 1 (Pankaj Joshi 73 not out, Bhupinder Singh 64 not out) bt Delhi Telecom: 180 (Rajinder Ahir 60, Sandeep Kochar 5 for 24, Tony Singh 3 for 38). Malviya Club: 208 for 9 (Faraz Mishtaq 67, Abhilash Chopra 43, Harinder Chaudhary 3 for 37) bt Madras Club: 206 for 9 (Vikas Puri 50, Prateek 44, Adeel Ahmed 4 for 33). Ambedkar football
Ambdekar Football tournament for the institutional clubs, scheduled to start from April 12, have been postponed by two days and will now begin from April 14. Similarly, the last date for entries have been extended up to April 9 and interested teams should get in touch with organising secretary Liaquat Ali at Ambedkar Stadium.

The teams that have confirmed so far are Oriental Bank of Commerce, ESIC, Central Sectt, FCI (NZ), Northern Railway, Bank of India, Delhi Audit, Delhi Administration and DDA.

Delhi State Skating
Delhi Roller Skating Association will organise the 19th Open Delhi State Roller Skating championship from April 29 to May 2 at Punjabi Bagh Club.Entries close on April 25. Entry forms can be obtained from the venue from April 16.
