Jitendera Chaudhary impressive

NEW DELHI, April 7: Fine all-round display by Jitender Chaudhary (3 for 17 and 40) and Shakher Sharma (2 for 13 and 22) guided East Delhi Club to a seven-wicket win over Indian Military College in the first round of the Poolworld East Delhi (under-19) tournament at Mohan Meakin ground.

Electing to bat, Military College made 102 with Ankit Uniyal making 30. Jintendra Chaudhary was the most successful bowler with three wickets for 17 runs. In reply, EDCC coasted home with 103 for three.

Brief scores: Military Academy (102: Ankit Uniyal 30, H. Awasthi 20, J.Chaudhary 3 for 17, S. Sharma 2 for 13) lost to EDDC (103 for 3: J. Chaudhary 40 not out, S. Sharma 22, Shakti Singh 2 for35).
