Naxals blast AP minister's house

PRESS TRUST OF INDIA
HYDERABAD, APRIL 12: Naxalites of the CPI-ML (Peoples' Liberation), a breakaway group of banned Peoples' War Group, today blasted the house of Andhra Pradesh Handloom and Textile Minister N Kistappa at his native Parmalapalli village in Anantapur district.

However, no one was injured in the incident, police said.

About seven Naxalites went to the minister's house in the interior village under Gorantla Mandal limits and asked the inmates to come out. Later, the ultras placed explosive devices and blew it up.

Kistappa was not in the village at the time of the incident, police said adding a note left behind by the ultras stated that their action was in protest against the illegal sale of arrack, allegedly by the minister and his followers.
